Seriously, there's nothing good to write about this week and no pictures as of right now so I'll just ramble on about life.
I have been selected for the Medicus Mentorship program and so I will be paired with a graduate med student! So I'm pretty excited about that because I'll be able to ask them a bunch of questions and they can help me with school work and what not. So that meeting is tonighttttttt!
But that's like it, for real. Sorry this is so boring but there's nothing to report. :(
On the plus side- it's only supposed to be 60 tomorrow! oh heck yeah! I'm sick of this 90 stuff. It's a little over the top.

the last three days.. post 3
Saturday: Iowa/ISU game
Okay! so! at this point in time, my feet were absolutely killing me.. then you add a 3 hour football game in there.. I'll just leave it at that.
Good thing I had a blast at the game! Even though it didn't turn out as we wanted to, we still had fun and made memories and took some pics!
First thing we did was get up and get ready (obviously) and went and ate then we headed downtown/to the field/to people watch wherever there was a mass number of people! It was fun to see differences in people and to see how craaaazy people get! There are just people EVERYWHERE and anywhere you can find a spot! While we were walking around, I realized I felt like we were loners since everyone else had a big group of people, so we texted up my new friend Jake and it turns out the people he was with ditched him to go drink! So we met up with him and walked around and did our version of tailgating. I actually saw a couple from Estherville so I got to talk to them! wooohoooo!
After we had walked around for awhile, we headed to Carver Hawkeye arena where they hold public practices! It was sweet and man those boys are cute with their shirts off! ;) But we didn't realize this until about 11:50 so we only watched until about 12 and then we headed to wait in line since the gates open at 1. We didn't want a bad spot!
I'm so so glad we waited in line for so long, it was so worth it! Our view was awesome! (side note: I'm also glad we headed over at about 10:45) Here's some pics from the day..

Friday: Obama and Biden come to IC.
OF COURSE I WENT! How could you not?! I mean seriously, even if you don't like him or believe in what he does, it was a free ticket to go see the president of the country. COME ON.
The doors opened at 1, but I had class until 1:30 with the other girl I was going with so we started standing in like at 1:30 and we stood. and we stood. and we stood. and we stood. until about 6:45 when I got home! I can't imagine how the people who had been sitting since 8:30 felt. OMG. It was so worth it though! Even though my feet were basically going to fall off of my body, it was truly an amazing experience to hear from and be so close to the president of the country! I am so glad I skipped a class to go, I would have been really mad if I hadn't gone. It's so weird to think that they had flown from New Hampshire to Iowa City for an hour speech! I'm so glad they did though! It was awesome! I had lots of fun and couldn't stop taking pictures! :)
The pentacrest all ready for Obama

Hello fellow bloggers and readers!
First thing to post about: free T-Pain concert on thursday.
Alright! So! This week was beat state week and there's an event called hawkapalooza that has a free concert and ultimate tailgating and such. I didn't go to the tailgate because I had class but I heard it was SUPER lame so I'm glad I didn't go. I did, however, attend the concert! This year they had t-pain, a rapper. It was a pretty good concert but it was REALLY short. It seriously lasted an hour. It was odd! But I went with a few new people so that's always fun! I will definitely be hanging out with them more because they are hilarious! I didn't get a lot of good pics because I had my phone because I didn't wanna worry about taking my camera.. but this is the best I got..

last weekend
Last weekend I visited my friends that live in Washington, IA about 40 minutes from campus and I had a BLAST! It was SO MUCH FUN! I left my dorm about 6:00 Saturday night and went to her house to find a nice home cooked meal of tacos, my favorite! :) After dinner, we kind of just hung out until one of Keri's friends, Carly, came over! She was so nice and hilarious we had a blast! I got an official tour of Washington, we ate ice cream where Keri works, rented Bridesmaids, and just sat around and talked.
On Sunday, Keri and I went and visited the Coralville mall and shopped, one of my favorite activities! I spent money, not lots, though, because I am a poor college student! We got back around 3:30 and I can't really remember what we did until we ate supper. Oops! After supper, a bunch of Keri's friends came over and we deeded to go play some harmless tricks on their youth leader's car! It was a blast. I loved meeting her friends and actually met one that goes to the UofI! so we are becoming friends and are actually hanging out tomorrow night (more details to come)
Monday, Keri's church's youth group was painting their youth room so I helped out and did that, too. It was fun to hangout with her friends and paint and meet new people! They're room looks really good! After that it was time to go home, that was the worst part of the trip. But, it was good to be back and see Megan.
I didn't miss the heat though! WOW! It's been so hot!
This week is a big week in hawkeye country.. T-Pain is coming to do a concert in honor of Hawkapooloza and President Obama is going to speak on Friday! Both are free events! wooooo! I'm so pumped! Also, it's the big ISU/Iowa game this weekend! It's my first football game and it's the big rivalry! How exciting!
